A listed building with an under garden extension.
Under garden extension, Glenarm
The original Georgian house is a listed building that happened to have a rear garden that was almost a storey higher. In order to provide additional accommodation it was decided to extend by building bedrooms under the garden which created the opportunity to completely hide the extension when viewed from the garden. With bedrooms at ground floor level the upper space could then accommodate the kitchen/dining area with a further sitting area created on the upper gallery.
